Early Life and Education
Rashmika Mandanna was born on April 5, 1996, in Virajpet, a town in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, India. She grew up in a middle-class family and was the eldest of her parents' two daughters. Her father, M.A. Mandanna, is a businessman, and her mother, Suman Mandanna, is a homemaker. Rashmika completed her schooling in Coorg Public School and went on to pursue a degree in Psychology, Journalism, and English Literature from M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Bangalore.
Modelling and Acting Career
During her college days, Rashmika started modeling and appeared in a few commercials. She was spotted by a talent agency and offered a role in the Kannada film Kirik Party in 2016. The film was a massive success, and Rashmika's performance was well-received by the audience and critics alike. Her portrayal of the character Saanvi won her the South Indian International Movie Award for Best Debutant Actress.
After the success of Kirik Party, Rashmika became a sought-after actress in the Kannada film industry. She starred in several successful films such as Anjani Putra, Chamak, Chalo, and Yajamana. In 2018, she made her Telugu film debut with the film Chalo. The film was a commercial success, and Rashmika's performance was praised by the audience and critics.
In the same year, Rashmika starred in Geetha Govindam, which was a romantic comedy film directed by Parasuram.
